SWBC Women's Retreat 2024

Retreat topic: Listening is a Gift: How well are you listening?

Join us as we laugh at ourselves and are challenged to really hear what others are saying! 

We will explore why hearing someone else's story is important and how to better give of ourselves by listening.  

God wants us to share His story as well.  Could we listen to Him in some of the same ways?

What to expect:

Arrive Friday at 6pm for a simple supper (provided) and room assignments/check in.  There will be games, skits, and a silent auction going on through the weekend. Saturday will include 3 teaching sessions and worship with planned activities in the afternoon. The weekend will wrap up Sunday morning with an early morning prayer and communion service followed by breakfast at 8:00.

Accommodations:

Reynolds & Meyer are fully winterized residence buildings containing bedrooms, common bathrooms, a fireplace living room, and kitchen. Each bedroom contains 2-4 single beds (no bunk beds). *UPDATE for 2024: bring your own sheets, pillow & blanket as they are not provided. Our goal for this weekend is to RELAX. Bring your favorite comfortable lounging-around clothes and slippers. We will be walking a short distance outside to the dining hall, and you’ll want outdoor winter gear if you wish to hike or explore the grounds.

Cost:

The cost to attend the full weekend (Friday 6pm until Sunday after breakfast) is $150.  This includes 2 nights and Friday supper, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast. The cost for the Saturday-only option is $45.  Please arrive in time for the 9am session.  This includes Saturday lunch and dinner. It's important that the cost of the weekend doesn't keep anyone from attending.  If you are in need of scholarship, please contact Martha Beckwith or Michelle Couture.
