South Woodstock Baptist Church—Youth Program Mission Statement
Why do we have a mission statement?
The intent of this mission statement is to reflect on the
5 purposes that God has put forth in the Grand Commandment
and the Great Commission (Matthew); Worship, Ministry, Evangelism,
Fellowship, Discipleship. This mission statement will be reflected in ALL
of our youth programs (Sunday School, Jr Church, Jr/Sr High, etc) at
that point, the “why” is supported by "how” it’s done!
Children (age 3 through 3rd grade) will begin the worship service with the congregation
and then be dismissed by the pastor to begin Junior Church. The leader will direct the
children to the downstairs backroom.
Junior church includes:
Offering-collecting money for the 'Laptop Giving' Music-children learn a
song & perform the last Sunday of each month.
Bible Verse-children will rehearse the bible verse of the week.
Bible Story-based on the bible verse, children will discuss the story Prayer-kids
will be led in prayer and encouraged to participate.
